Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio - Blues for K [One Step]Audio Nautes Vinyl Audiophile
Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio – Blues For K (Limited One-Step Edition | 2LP 45RPM | 1,000 copies worldwide)
A tribute to the legendary TBM sound – for the first time as an exclusive double LP box set.
With his 1974 debut on the cult label Three Blind Mice (TBM), Tsuyoshi Yamamoto set the standard for audiophile jazz from Japan. Four decades later, he returns to his roots on Blues For K – presenting an album that brings the spirit of the TBM era to life in every note. The trio dedicates this special recording to the legendary TBM sound engineer Yoshihiko Kannari , who oversaw the reunion session on June 20, 2022, at his own studio (Studio Lion, Nasu, Tochigi).
Together with Hiroshi Kagawa (bass) and Hisao Osumi (drums), Yamamoto delivers a performance full of energy, elegance, and musical perfection. Few have captured the magic of this trio like Kannari – the extraordinary synergy , the lyrical intensity , and the unparalleled tonal balance for which Yamamoto is internationally acclaimed.
Timeless elegance – jazz at its finest.
The Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio impresses on Blues For K with a cross-genre mix of:
-
melodic sophistication
-
rhythmic precision
-
emotional depth
-
harmonious transparency
Yamamoto proves once again why he is considered one of the great pianists of modern jazz: every touch is precise, every moment breathes space and timing. The focus is not on the chosen material, but on how he and his trio bring out its essence – a hallmark of his legendary TBM recordings of the 1970s.
