It is based on a generously dimensioned 540 VA EI power transformer , which, combined with four custom 10,000 µF filter capacitors, creates a stable foundation. Luxman is deliberately pursuing its own path: Instead of relying on gigantic capacitances, they focus on components with high impulse fidelity and short charging cycles – resulting in fast, controlled sound.

The volume control is handled by the proven LECUA (Luxman Electronically Controlled Ultimate Attenuator) technology . The L-505Z uses the latest version, offering 88 fixed levels. Additionally, there's a balance control and traditional tone controls for the treble and bass, which can be completely bypassed if desired using the "Line Straight" function .
