Our client was provided with a Roksan TMS I turntable by us – a classic British Hi-Fi flagship from the Touraj Moghaddam Signature series, known for its stable, precise mechanics and excellent detail reproduction.
A Kuzma Stogi tonearm was mounted on it, a tonearm built on selected ball bearings with precise adjustability of azimuth and VTA, which optimally supports even demanding MC cartridges.
The system was equipped with a Lyra Etna λ Lambda cartridge previously delivered by us to our customer – a handcrafted high-end MC with Lyra's innovative New Angle Technology for exceptional resolution and musicality.
This was adjusted and perfectly measured and meticulously set using Adjust+:
• Azimuth: 0.5° – perfect values with excellent crosstalk: L→R –29.4 dB and R→L –29.3 dB
• Distortion K2: –40.3 dB (left) / –36.2 dB (right) – also excellent values
• Total harmonic distortion: less than 3% – therefore negligible
• Speed: slightly too fast at approximately +0.1% (within tolerance; unfortunately not fine-tunable here)
• Synchronization according to DIN IEC 386 (dynamic): ±0.08% – very good stability
The result is a sonically balanced combination that is convincing in every respect.
Our customer told us how much better the Lyra Etna Lambda is now performing for him.
