When technology, craftsmanship and attention to detail come together, something special is created.
Today we had the pleasure of handing over an absolute highlight to its new owner:
A Transrotor Ur-FatBob turntable – combined with a Reed 3P tonearm, the van den Hul Grasshopper cartridge and the exquisite Soulnote E-2 phono preamplifier.
The installation and adjustment were handled – as always – by Florian Ernst , whose precision and experience make every setup a small masterpiece.
From the delicate balancing of the tonearm and the perfect geometry to the final measurements of speed, azimuth, and channel separation, every detail was meticulously checked and adjusted using technical equipment. This is achieved, among other things, through the use of the Dr. Feickert Adjust+ software.
🎶 Some sound and technology highlights:
• Transrotor Ur-FatBob – a massive turntable with impressive smoothness thanks to the use of three Pabst motors. The heavy chassis, combined with the motors, ensures absolute freedom from resonance and stable rotation – the basis for pure musicality. A statement made by Transrotor with this turntable.
• Reed 3P tonearm – a true precision instrument from Lithuania, distinguished by its unique bearing design and magnetic damping. It allows for the most precise adjustment of all parameters – even during playback.
• van den Hul Grasshopper – a handcrafted MC cartridge with a legendary reputation. With its boron cantilever and fine VDH stylus profile, it delivers impressive spatiality, deep dynamics, and wonderfully natural vocal reproduction.
• Soulnote E-2 – audiophile engineering from Japan. Its fully symmetrical design, discrete circuitry and separate power supplies make every detail audible – emotional, vibrant and completely stress-free.
After several hours of fine-tuning, the magical moment arrived: the first record .
It was clear from the very first notes – this setup is in a league of its own. The customer was thrilled – and so were we.
